Manual Drysit

  • As a result of the open structure of Drysit, there is a layer of air between you and the seat.

For optimal ventilation Drysit – like all Ventisit cushions – must not be covered. It is best if the Ventisit is slightly longer and/or bigger than the seat and that the sides are not covered by materials and/or clothes. Openings in the seat or a mesh seat will increase the ventilation capacity even further.
  • Drysit has an anti-slip coating and combines all the advantages of the Ventisit Classic and Comfort with an extra sturdy seat. Slipping or slumping is a thing of the past.

The comfort level is, amongst other things, determined by the thickness of the Ventisit and the surface underneath.

The Comfort version has slightly more suspension than the Classic version and there is a larger air layer running between you and the seat.

Ventisit cushions are durable and do not become much thinner in use. The Ventisit is ideal for individual adjustments and can also be supplied in thicker variations. Inquire about the possibilities.

Ventisit does not damage clothing. The surface can feel a little rough on bare skin.
  • You can choose which Drysit fits you best, because Drysit comes in two variations:

    • Classic - 2cm thick - 30% lighter in weight than the comfort.
    • Comfort - 3cm thick - more comfort because of the greater suspension and increased ventilation.

The difference between a Classic and a Comfort seat pad is the extra inner layer of the same material.

  • Drysit is provided with an extra anti-slip coating around the cushions. This also ensures that the underside has an extra firm grip on almost all types of surface.

The cushions stay perfectly in place because of their anti-slip layer.

If desired, you can also secure the Ventisit with extra plastic tie-wraps or with our nylon strap (SKU 9006)

Many of the Ventisit cushions intended for the recumbent are fitted with Velcro as standard. This is also possible for Drysit on request.

  • To prevent your Ventisit from blowing away during transport or someone accidentally taking it while you are not sitting on it, it's best to secure the Ventisit with two or more standard plastic tie-wraps or with our nylon strap (SKU 9006)

  • The big advantage is that all Ventisit cushions - including Drysit – can be left outside or can be stored damp or wet. They won’t mold.

The material does not absorb any moisture. Tapping on the seat pad after rain is sufficient to quickly get a dry seat again.

Furthermore, Ventisit does not absorb perspiration thus ensuring that the cushion stays odour free.

  • Drysit, like the standard Ventisit, normally requires no maintenance.

Dirt can be removed simply by shaking out the Ventisit or if necessary it can be rinsed with water or a pressure hose. Washing is also possible, but is never really necessary (hand or machine up to 40˚C, do not centrifuge).

  • The durability of the cushions depends on the intensity of their use.

Experience has proven that our cushions last a lot longer than other cushions.

The cushions are weatherproof, colourfast and with normal use will last for many years.

  • Ventisit or Drysit does not stop you from getting (decubitus ulcer or bedsores).

For the individual user with such a sensitivity disorder the Ventisit can however provide solutions with the use of specific applications.

In particular if excessive perspiration or moisture build up is a problem, when exercising, warm or damp weather, or in case of incontinence, etc.
